Hi Experts

Sorry for my English.

I need your Help please.

have the Process List msg_server.EXE (MessageServer) is green

disp + work.exe (dispatcher) is gray status: stopped

if I click on SAP Management Console I get follwing Message:

" SAP System Management Snap-in Configuration information hass been saved by an old Version of the SAP System Management snap in. Converting Configuration information to new format "

I formated but the disc C before Installation.

My Betriebssystem is: Windows XP Prof. SP2

Hello,

Have you performed the installation with a Administrator userid?

SAP needs to be installed with a userid who has full Administration access.

From the installation log, it looks like the SAP installation program couldn't create certain directories or entries in the Windows Registry.

And Windows XP Prof. SP2 is a client OS not supported for SAP Netweaver installation...

Hi,

Thanks @ all, who tried to answer my question( viz to help me).

I uninstalled SAP Netweaver ,formated the disk and reinstalled it (SAP NetWeaver 7.01)

So I started Applicationserver

I got the same Message like before:" SAP System Management Snap-in Configuration information has been saved by an older Version of the SAP System Management Snap in".

But spite of this message " MessageServer and dispatcher" both were green and running.

I suppose that my meshwork detection wasn't also on.

For the microsoft snap in issue, there is a SAP Note, you can find it by searching on SAP Notes.

Hi,

Check whether the databse is up and running before starting. If not, start the DB and then try to start the SAP instance.

Also check the startup log and go to the <Drive>/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS00/work directory and the most useful information can be found in the dev_wx, dev_ms, dev_disp files.

Hi Sidib,

Please update JAVA_HOME system enviromental variable in my computer (My computer > Properties >> Advance >> Startup and Recovery >> Enviromental Variable >> System Variables >> Add new JAVA_HOME parameter with path for installed Java JDK)

Check database server services (Start > Run > Services.msc >> Start your database services manually and change properties as automatic).

Update your server IP address and host name in host file entry at (Start > RUN > drivers > etc > host file) and add add an entry in service file Start > RUN > drivers > etc > services like sapms<SID> 36<systemnumber>/tcp

Then try to start SAP server and check it.
