J2EE export/import in NW 7.00 EHP1 SPS3

Hi,

I will soon be doing a J2EE system copy of JAVA system only on Oracle and UNIX.

I found out while reading the guide that I have to drop and recreate and the DB because I do not want to do the MCOD. I am choosing u201CStandard system Copy/Migrationu201D.

It appears that I will have to give the path to Oracle CD while importing. The one I have is only Oracle 10.2.0.0 with no patch fix. I have separate CD for Patch set 2. How can I give patch set CD while importing or I do not have to worry about patch set and do the patch set later? The guide says that EHP1 requires 10.2.0.2 or higher.

Another question is that it ask the JAVA CD as well and I am considering this as a u201CJava based SW Comp.su201D or sometimes we call it JAVA export CDs. What is the difference between this JAVA EXPORT CD and the one I have exported using Sapinst?

I am little confused.

I answered my question by myself after reading little more.

Oracle is just given as location and it will not install it but use it.

The J2EE CD is binaries while export is actual content.
