currency conversion in document

hi, we have an issue where in we have a service contract in that the amount is in hongkong dollars and with ref to that contract when we generate a draft invoice and convert the amount from honkong dollars to pounds the amount is showing up wrong value checked the exchange rates found nothing wrong please guide..

Hi,

There are lot of scenarios in which the currency conversion happens. We really dont know what scenario is yours

If there is a conversion of one currency to another, it will always be straight forward.

But if there are three different currencies (Document currency (from customer master in teh document), Condition type currency (from condition record) and local currency (currency of company code)), existing, then the exchange rate you are seeing may not be a straight forward case.

So please let us know what is ur document currency, condition type currency and local currency for the transaction.

Also if only two currencies are involved (document currency and condition type currency are same and local currency is different), there is some problem in the way you have seen OB08. The entries in OB08 are also date specific,so ensure that you looked at the xnge rate for the right dates.
