Hello,
in customizing under "Sales and distribution --> Billing --> Billing plan" you can find the customizing steps. You should define a billing plan type for milestone billing; then you should define date descriptions for billing dates in the billing plan, then you should define and assign date categories, and the last step is assigning the defined billing plan type to the proper item categories. After that on the service contract you will be able to maintain, in the tab "Billing plan", the billing dates.
