Hi,
I want to develop one SmartForm of 10 pages. For this I need to copy text from MS Word document into SmartForm.
But when the text from Word Document is copied into SmartForm as it is, the formatting of text is changed and normal text is copied into SmartForm.
I am using MS Word Editor in SmartForm. Also I tried to use SMARTSTYLEs for formatting text in SmartForm. As every line has different format, it is very difficult to apply styles also.
I want to keep the same format in SmartForm like Word document.
Please help me.
Thanks.
Hi,
There are some limitations with the MS word editor. It only allows the paragraph and character formats that are defined in the associated smartstyle. But you can add fonts etc to the style so that the copied data looks better.
In is often necessary to use the MS word editor as it is a Unicode editor and the old PC editor does not support certain languages. there were a lot of problms with the MS word editor but in recent releases/support packs it works quite well.
Regards,
Aidan

NEVER EVER use this ms word editor in smartform.
and yeah sure you will loose your formatting layout since word and smartforms are totally different things with completeley other concepts of formatting.

Hi friend,
In my knowledge, SAP only use smartstyles to format text in smartforms. MS word editor just let you easy to enter text and choose style. So, again create your smartstyles then apply to text you copied from MS word.
