Enabling Alerts in Wily Introscope

Hi All,

I have Wily 8 setup. Can some tell me how to enable Alerts, Alert downtime schedules, Calculator, Actions etc in Wily Introscope.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi Sridhar,

I go the full license from SAP for SAP extended Diagnostics.

I have updated in license folder and change the permission for Admin id in domains.xml file and restarted everything works fine,

Here i have few questions :

As per this

1.I followed the steps to install the license and permission.

Do we need to install the introscope delta package on existing wily introscope folder or ?.

2.As per the document attached to this note i am trying to find the ISAGENT.<Introscope version>_UNIFIEDLOADER.SAR in market place and i couldn't find it.Please help me here.

3.after all this setup  where can i setup the alerts for system down,heap ,memory etc.Please provide me some documentation or steps how to achieve this.you can send me the documents to rambasis123@gmail.com.

In reference to item 3 above. Once your EM is set up and you can see metric data reporting from your agents, you would use the Management Module Editor to configure Alerts and Actions for your alerts.

When you create an alert you can either choose a metric grouping for your data or management module expression.  You may need to spend some time tuning your Caution and Danger threshholds to have meaningful results.

Hi There

You cannot customize the alerting without a full license. All the

details were depicted in Note 1134542. There is no need to download and

install any dedicated Wily Introscope software beside the SAP offered

Wily Introscope software for all SAP customers that is available on SAP

Service Marketplace.

Therefore, if you buy the Support Enablement Package (SEP) or get a

Global Enterprise Agreement (GEA), you can request a Unlock Package from

SAP. Then you can implement the alert for monitoring.

The SAP contract with Wily only allows use to provide our customers

credentials to use Wily WebView and Workstation. The limitation compared

to a full licence from Wily is that the delivered SAP content for Wily

Introscope (e.g. ManagementModules) is read-only.

The Admin guide mainly contains information to modify Wily content that

you are anyway not allowed. So it was decided to not publish the Admin

guide.

If you have a full license from Wily you get it from there.

SAP has a certain license agreement with wily company, we lock the

management module so you can't change them. You need to buy license from

wily directly, or buy E2E SAP Solution Manager Starter Pack service for

additional license. Please check this URL below
