Hi all,
We are experimenting a weird issue, and this is not the first time. One CC(file/ftp) is not picking up any file from the folder. In spite of we changed the fto user for an invalidad one, I will continue on green(It seems everything was fine) however it is not.
Our temporal solution is create a new channel to fix it and process the files.
We want to know If there is any sp or configuration we need to do to avoid this kind of issue which is causing a lot of problem with business people(the order are not being processed correctly and in the right time).
Any help will be really appreciated.
Regards,
Ivá
Are you on Xi 3.0? Sometimes the JDBC and File channels get locked and do not poll at all though they show a green light. You need to unlock them in the visual administrator..!!

Hi Jose,
Is it giving any error?
If it's giving any error, then it can covered under the alerts by PI.
But, in case it isn't giving any error, then you can write a script program to generate an alert, if the file isn't found in the source directory, means it's not been polled by PI.

Hi Jose,
I am talking about the ftp.timeout parameter only.
Refer the SAP notes 1083488, 801926 & 849089 for the same.

Hi Jose,
In case of JDBC and File/FTP adapters, it happens that the channels get locked.
You have to unlock the channels in Visual Administartor.
To avoid this problem in future, you have to configure the Task Timeout paramater in the sender channel on the advanced tab page.
This will prevent the locking of channel in future.
