Did you mean:

0FI_GL_10 and 0FI_GL_14

I understand that the following two extractors pull from the following tables.

0FI_GL_10 for G/L Totals and based on table FAGLFLEXT

0FI_GL_14 for G/L Line Items based on tables FAGLFLEA, BSEG & BKPF

My questions is: If you need to report on both line items and the totals, is it simplier to get the totals by having an extra cube on top of the line item data flow, rather have two extractors? This way your totals could be aggregated to whatever level necessary.

Did SAP create the total table and extractor for those only reporting at a totals level?

thanks,

Linda

Line item wont give you the opening balances - so there is no way to get the cumulative balance from the Line item extractor.

So you would need to use both the extractor, and if necessary you can jump from totals query to details query via RRI.

Or you can load opening balances from totals extractors to the line item cube fro Period 000 and get the balance on the report level.

I would suggest go with option 1 - having both the extractors. That way its much easier to reconcile the data when needed.
