Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) and SLD.
Can we compare them?
Thx,
-Naveen.
Well, Naveen
SLD is System Landscape Directory. This is primarily used to manage all the systems in our System Landscape. What it means is that, SLD is the central point to monitor all systems and associate them with our Developement.
What exactly I feel is JNDI is used to lookup of Names of objects and accessing them. Read the following
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/a0/8e633e0084e946e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
I dont think we can exactly compare them and come up with a table to show subtle differences. The reason is both are used for different purposes. The scope of SLD is very wide when compared to JNDI .
