Storage Unit Management Cycle Counting

Gurus,

The requirement is to implement lean warehouse management i.e. use storage units but have only a single bin in the storage type......the issue is if we cycle count the bin and if there is any difference in the quantity then from which storage unit will the quantity be depleted in case we have say 5 storage units of the same material in that single storage bin???

Hi,

In this case, you need to make sure that proper mixed storage settings is used for the business. This will make sure that your physical SU's will match exactly the system SU's. By this any deviation would directly knock off with the exact SU. If there is any inconsistency in this settings then, your question arises, ie from which SU to knock off.

If you have concept of batch, then your question becomes very crucial. If you can provide specific case, then it would help to answer.
