Hi,

i am getting error duing ides installation,

i am installing ecc5.0 non unicode. i have insatalled centre instance now i am doing database instance.when insatllation phase reach 22 of 34 and database loding . it gives error,

An error occurred while processin serice my sap erp 2004sr1>abap>system>oracle>nonunicode>databse instance installation. you may now

2 Press the view log button to get more information about the error.

3 Stop the task and continue with it later

4 reset you input for the current task. in this case. sapinst will permanenlty remove all installationfiels from the instaation direcotry. This gives you the opportunity to restart from scrathc

the log you supplied looks OK. the error you got might not be a real error.

use 600Mb for parameter SHARED_POOL_SIZE in file initPRd.ora ... and restart Oracle... then try continue installation. If it fails gain, find another log.

Is above file available in export dumps folder ?

Your Export DVD's might not copied properly...

Try copying it agan...

Then retry the installation..

Please check you have copied dump correctly..

Please check if the file exits, if it's there then pleaes provide full permission to that file.

To avoid any permissions issue, just issue below command as ROOT

(On Unix)

1. chmod -R 777 /<path_to_sap_dumps>

(In Windows)

1. Go to the properties of SAPDUMP directory

2. Go to Security tab.

3 Select "Everyone" group.

4. Assing "Full Control".

5. click on "Advanced" button.

6. Select "Relpace all Chid object permissions with inhertiable permissions from this object".

7. Click Apply and OK.

replace permission entires on all child objects with entiries shown here that apply to child object

This will remove explicity defined permissions on all child objects and enable propagation of inheritable per mission to those child objects, only inheritable permission propagated from exportfil will take effect .
