Hi

when creating a "data type" in PI 7.0 repository it sets the codepage to ISO-8859-1. Where does it get that from and how can we change it?

Thx for your help

You cannot change that. If you want to have dtat type structures with nodes and element names, that are not available in ISO-8859-1 (for example cyrillic node names) then you have to upload it as external definition.

Be aware, that this codepage is used for the data type structure, it has no influence on message content.

But where does the system get it from? Java? where exactly is it set? PI repository and Directory must get this codepage from somewhere?

If I check SNL1 in the PI ABAP it says

Codepage Appl. server 4102

frontend 4110 UTF-8 GUI

The is hard coded and independent from system environment.

Do you have an issue with this?
