Field documentation in more filed help

Hi experts,

Do you konw hwo to show field documentation of ALV or POWL?

Currenlty in my applications for ALV and POWL result table, it only can show technical infromation in more field help dialog box. How can I map the documentation of data element to the fields?

And another question is there is some field which type as CHAR1, how can I bind any documation to fields like this?

Hi,

Yes create a data elemet and attach some documentation and it will be visible whn you go with more field help

Hi Julia,

It may not be possible to provide documentation for ALV table (assuming that you are using only for display purpose) because usually Documentation is provided for InputFields, DropDowns etc.

yes. It can show the docmentation for ALV table filed, but not heading, and if there is no data in the table, it also cannot show the documents.

Hi,

To get the documentation , create a data element as create documnetation for the date elemnt.

If the same data element with documentation is used , the you can get help documentation when you go with the more field help option.
