Sales Order Stock

Hi !

We would like to explore Sales Order Stock functionality for a requirement we have.

Can someone please tell me how to create a sales order item that looks for inventory in Sales Order stock (instead of regular unrestricted)? Is there a specific item category I need to use?

Also, how is stock actually assigned to the Sales Order? Is this done via a transfer posting?

As we know MTO and MTS

in MTO here sales order stock

In MTS here unrestriced stock

Its all depends upon the cleint required here i am saying standard way

In MMR Stragegy group will play major role.

In Producation order Co02 in Goods receipt tab we can change the Stock type whether it will be in sales order stock or unresticetd stock

In tcode VOV7, you can see item cateogry customizing, where you can set special stock indicator.

Please use an item category where special stock indicator is 'E'. (e.g. item cateogry TAE).

To get sales order stock, you just need to post GR for special stock E. When posting, you can specify order number and item number.
