I have a basic question about JSPM. I have a PI system with 2 application servers. When I do a deploy, should I shut down the application servers first? If they are down when I do the deploy from the central instances does it still work?
I checked the documentation and it's not clear.
Hi,
There is no need to shutdown application servers.
Thanks
Sunny

Hi
You can do deployment even though app servers are down from the central Instance. before you deploy support packs from JSPM make sure you stop all the communication channels and start deployment.

George,
In a distributed environment, you have to restart the appplication servers manually after updating the kernel using JSPM to make the changes effect.
Hope this clarifies.
