Allow "greyed" components in NOTIF_CREATE

Dear all,

When creating a support message using NOTIF_CREATE, i have to insert the sap component.

Using the F4-button opens a list where some 1st level components are grey (e.g. BC, CO, ...) whereas other are black (EHS, QM, ...).

All grey components can not be entered directly, I have to drill down to find a black, selectable component (eg. BC-ABA).

Is it possible to make all grey components selectable as well? In some cases we need to drill down 3 or 4 levels, which is annoying.

We'd like to be able to select BC right away, without further specifying the component.

Anyone knows how to do it?

Thanks,

Jan

PS: Btw, I found a component on 3rd level, which is not selectable and has no sublevel (BC-AC-CFG) - what's the idea of that??

Hi,

If you check inside the tree of the components that are greyed out, you

will see that the sub-components can be chosen.

Unfortunately this behaviour is as designed. It is not permitted to choose the top

level components for many areas, this is done to avoid sending messages

with no proper component clasification to the SAP Service Marketplace .

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Hi Jan Krüger,

Its a standard functionality provided by SAP, we can not make it active. If you are sending it to SAP market place, it will be useful for SAP to track it based on sub components.

Workaround what you can do is, You inform the message raisers to enter the component BC directly, without selecting it from component, It will allow to create meesage.

Now if you want to send the same message to SAP, then change the BC component to subcomponents of BC.

If you really want to activate this component then SAP need to do this. we can not do this, as its a standard one.

Hope this solves your query.

Cheers!!!!

Hello Jan,

This behaviour is as designed. It is not permitted to choose the top level components for many areas, this is done to avoid sending messages with no proper component clasification to the SAP Service Marketplace .

You can find some sublevels also greyed in cases that these components are not more used in the support of SAP.
