We have a probelm where a configuration change made the ABUMN asset transfer transaction post a "real" document to the the Fund on the old assset number instead of a statistical post. He'd like to be able to post a reverse entry moving the balances from the Old Fund into the New Fund with teh net result in each being $0.
Can you just post an FM Document without creating and FI, CO, FI-SL or Grants Management document? If you can what t-code should be used?

Hi Daniel,
No. FM documents are never primary (except, for EMF, but speaking officially, EMF are not exactly FM documents). They always originate from either logistic or financial document.

Then what about t-code FWMA - Fund Transfers? Doesn't that just move dollars between Funds without generating an FI or CO document?

No problem. One can post just an FM document with the FMWA funds transfer posting. THe problem we were having though required us to reverse the original asset documents because we were impacting much more than just Fund balances. So we ended up having to create an LSMW for t-code AB08 which is the reverse asset document transaction.
Thanks for your help.

You can post FMWA's but reversing original Asset Document w/AB08 was required.
