Addon installation error

Hi All,

I am upgrading BI system from BI cont 7.03 to BI cont 7.04, installation is not starting complaining

Following messages are thrown in the SAINT.

OCS package SAPK-7040INBICONT does not match the

current software component vector

BI_CONT,704 = X Non-permitted release of add-on BI_CONT installed

How can I go forward with Installtion.

Did you read the "Known issues" note for that package... this error shows up usually when a prerequisite is not met. go to SAINT -> Go to -> Queue calculation Log check if theres any missing components or patches.

Thank you for quick response.

When i selected calculate queue i am getting the following error message

"Non-permitted release of addon BI_CONT installed"

Can you please tell me the SAP Note for SPAM known problems?

Is BI_CONT 704 is compatible for SAP NW 7.0 SR2?

Hello Uday,

Probably you have to download the BI_CONT 704 install package

SAPK-704DHINBICONT

and the

SAPK-70401INBICONT BI_CONT 704 SP1

and include it into the queue.

Important!

Please use MOPZ for queue calculation and download and include the

same packages into the queue as listed in the MOPZ!

I have downloaded SAPK-704IHINBICONT, SAPK-704UHINBICONT and SAPK-70401INBICONT but don't have SAPK-704DHINBICONT.

What exactly SAPK-704DHINBICONT is for?

You suggested me to use MOPZ for queue calculation, i don't know how to use it.

Can't we do this without using MOPZ?
