Yes, I got an answer and here it is:

Hello,

the install script is unable to find a license if there's a small window

for the bash -

and it's not able to pop up a big window, too.

You have to expand the window first before starting with ./install.sh

Best regards,

You can send questions to linux@sap.com if this doesn't help you.

is SAPEULA in same directory which install.sh is being called from?

Another thought is you agree to the license right?

copy the DVD to a local directory (/home/$user/sapinst)

vi /home/$user/sapinst/install.sh

comment out line 744 show_license (#show_license)

then run the install program.

The installation script should then run.

Supported Linux Distributions

SuSE Linux 9.0

SuSE Linux 9.1

Fedora Core 1

Fedora Core 2 with compat-libstdc++

this was given in the Installation notes, and it did not say it is for suse linux only.

OK, I forwarded this to the people who made this testdrive to make sure it's not a general problem.
