Hello experts,
We have a scenario in our client's legacy system where waves are generated and pick labels are printed which are then pasted to the totes. Totes are placed on the conveyor and picking is done form the forward pikcing locations. Totes have container numbers printed on the lable which is scanned after the picking is completed and the tote is ready to ship.
How this scenario can be mapped in EWM? Can we define the totes as storage type and track their movement?
Please advice if anybody has worked with same scenario.
Thanks in advance,
KHAN
Hi Khan,
keshub is right with the process although you will have some work to do with the conveyor external step in the POSC. I rekon this step will be one of internal movement. But concerning your problem (question) you must not define storage types for tottes as the storage types in the Warehouse system are considered as being zones and are not considered in the sense of the word as movable.
Use the HU for this operation and be sure to check the Storage Types customizing for HU Requirement in order for your process to go on smoothly.
All the best,
Claudiu Maxim

HI
This can be done by pick then pack in work center.
as u ask first step is pick and then create tote as HU for delivery .this can be done in process oriented control... confirm WT by HU.
And as this HU is assigned to delivery is also ready to ship.
first activity pick.
second activity pack..
third activity is conveyor
and confirm WT and load ....
This will work for your scenario...
