Hi All,
We have NW 7.01 with CRM Java components on SP 5 version and NWDI 700 with dev system added to runtime system.
ISA 7.0 custom application was running fine until some standard SAP issue occured which was reported to SAP. Now they have come up with a patch in the new SP6 version.
we have our NWDI track created on SP5 and customized the standard application by creating DCs.
Now, what should be the approach we need to follow so as to upgrade our Java components to SP6 and also how to include the SAP modified code into our custom application/project.
Can someone share few your thoughts and experiences on this concept?
Thanks in advance,
Aman.
Hi Aman,
if you check in the checkbox "Integrate runtime system into JSPM scenario" on the corresponding Runtime System Configuration (/devinf -- cms webui -- Landscape Configurator -- Runtime Systems), then during the updgrade, JSPM will treat these SCs as "under NWDI control" and upgrades accordingly. If so, JSPM will explicitly display this info right next to the SC to be upgraded.
Best Regards,
Ervin

Hi Ervin,
Yes you are right, we have that option checked ... and this would upgrade the standard SCs to SP6. thats fine.. my concern is how are we going to include the SAP modified code changes into our custom made application (DC).
Is there any SAP recommended way for this? Please suggest.
thanks,
Aman

I think you can follow ESS scenario. it deals with how you combine your customized code with new sap support package.
Check Note 872892 - JDI/NWDI Cookbook for ESS/XSS
