Is a BUPS_LINK always linked to a concrete role?

One more question about abstract and concrete roles:

Is a business partner link (tab "Staffing", table DPR_BUPA_LINK) always linked to a concrete role (via DPR_BUPA_LINK-PARTICIPANT_GUID), or can it be linked to an abstract role as well?

I assume that is is always linked to a concrete role, and the concrete link is always linked to an abstract role (via CGPL_HIERARCHY). Can somebody confirm this assumption?

Hello Deniel,

You are correct that BUPA_LINK is always linked to Concrete Role and Concrete Role is always linked to Abstract Role. An Abstract Role will have Concrete Role once it is staffed with Resources. Each Resource Assignment is the Concrete role for the Abstract Role.
