Hi ,
Is it required to define in the worstation application config for new file types like Docx, pptx, pdf, etc...
or if we mention %auto% will it work , please let me know the details
Thanks,
Suresh HP
Hi Suresh,
Yes, it's require to configure file type though you write %AUTO%. Since there is three characters limitation in suffix, put it as DOX,XLX ..etc. and define the MIME types for new applications(these are different than .doc,xls..etc).
Do the above two thing and your query will get resolved.

Yes. All the relevant workstation applications need to be configured separately in DC10. However, incase you have already defined workstation application for MS Word(*.doc), then you may append *.docx in 'File Format' parameter to enable the feature for *.docx files as well.
By specifying the 'Workstation Application in Network', you can set as to which program is used to display, edit and print in relation to the front end type. The program can either be in a network environment, or in a local work area. In your case, if it is in a local work area, you can assign the registry with %Auto% command. You can also use the integrated viewer with a corresponding entry like EAIWeb.webviewer2D.1%SAP-CONTROL%
