R3trans received signal 11 from operating system

Hi all,

Last week we are upgraded our kernel patches to 236. During in QAS, we never faced transport issue. But once the patches been moved to Prod we faced some issue "R3trans received signal 11 from operating system". I have checked from forum and it said that due to level of database library patches is 233. Need to upgrade the database library(dboraslib.so).

Just wanted to know, whether we can upgrade this while sap is up or need to bring down the SAP.

Please advice.

You need to bring down SAP to update the db libraries.
