Statistical files frequently full

hi,

env. AIX 5.3, ECC 600, EHP1, Oracle 10.2.0.4.

in

*/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS00/data*

the statistical data files are getting created drastically and filesystem is getting full.

there is no background jobs are running..

and there is no load in the system.

no uers are working.

however statistical data files frequently getting full in the file system.

I am trying to trace how this would be possible.

please advise any clues.

Also check for standard SAP reorg JObs

Hi,

You might need to check your data statistics retention.

Go to ST03N

Change from Administrator Mode to Expert Mode

Click Collector and Performance DB

Click Workload Collector

Choose Control Data

You can see Retention time and size of statistics file there.

I hope this could help you.

Try to check Note 6833 - Deleting statistics file, size of statistics file
