Hi Mohammad,
Ensure that your gateway service is started. Do a telnet to 33xx, (where xx is your instance number) and check whether the port is open. If no try to start gateway manually.
Or restart your machine, start sap from the console and continue with your old installation.

your SAP system is probably down. check its status in SAPMMC. Also try to login with SAPGUI.
At last, investigate dev_rd contents.

Hi Eric/Sahad/SBK,
Thanks for your replies.
I have checked and sapgw00 is available under port 3300 in the services file. SAP system under sapmmc is also running green. I have also rebooted the system. Additionally, I have created a tcp sapgw00 port in windows also. Yet the error persists! When I click on the new system in sap logon pad, the message window appears:
Maximum number of connection handles reached.
Maximum number of handles reached. No more memory is available.
Am I missing out somewhere? Please suggest.
Regards.

Hi
Check your services file and make sure that sapmsSID 3600/tcp is available.
also check if sapgw00 3300/tcp is also available.
Check if port 3300 is open or not.
Thank you
Sahad
