Autoextend enabled in datafiles but not tablespace

Hi,

In my IDES ERP 6.0 EHP4 system, I have noticed that the tablespace PSAPSR3 is marked 'NO' in AUTOEXTEND colume in DBACockpit.

However, each datafile of this table space is autoexend enabled, the maxsize is 10GB and extend is 20MB per step.

I have no idea why the tablespace is marked as NOT AUTOEXTEND but datafiles are.

Please suggest.

Thanks a lot.

Regards,

Alex

Yes. After the installation there are 14 data files for tablespace PSAPSR3 and I added one just before also specified autoextend enabled.

Hi,

I have noticed that the tablespace PSAPSR3 is marked 'NO' in AUTOEXTEND colume in DBACockpit.

The following could be the reason for this...

After the installation there are 14 data files for tablespace PSAPSR3

As u have 14 datafiles for the tablespace PSAPSR3, if any one of the datafiles is set to autoextend OFF, the tablespace in turn will be shown as autoextend OFF. So, u need to check whether all the datafiles are of Autoextend ON.

Hope this clarifies.

Hi, this is my another account.

if any one of the datafiles is set to autoextend OFF, the tablespace in turn will be shown as autoextend OFF.

As you can see my attached DB02 output in above floor, all datafiles of tablespace PSAPSR3 are as autoextend ON.

Please suggest.

Alex

I have checked that the size and max. size of all datafiles of tablespace PSAPSR3 are same.

As i'm say before " AGAIN " if size and maxsize are same the Db02 shows for tablespace autoextend to NO ...

And rightly so, because not one of them can no longer grow

Try for example add new data file size 5 GB AND maxsize to 10GB, after in DB02 press refresh and wait until all datasets are

refreshed. After relogin in DB02 and check your tablespace autoextend will be set to YES.

Thanks. This time I quite understand it.

The issue has been resolved.

Sorry that it is a silly question.
