Hi SAP Guru's,
I'm in the proces of setting up a new set of code catalogs for my business and notice that the sort order of the code values is based upon the alpha/numeric codes. For example: If the code begins with A its first then B or 1 and 2 and so on.
What I would like to to do is adjust the sort order regardless of the Alpha / Numeric character values. I was not sure if there was a standard SAP function to do so. As a result, my questions.
Thanks and Regards.
No.. no SAP standard way. You have to figure a way to do it alphanumerically.
Sometimes it can be very hard. Many places simply use numbers for all the codes and use the description to describe it. So you might start all colors with C001 through C999. Put them in "rainbow order" and skip numbers so other codes can be added later.
All appearance codes might begin with A001 - A999. I.e. A010 - clear, colorless liguid, A020 - slightly cloudy liquid, etc.. etc...
