Initial load (MATERIAL)

Hi,

When I process the initial load for MATERIAL (Transaction R3AS) a SYSFAIL error appears in the EBP's inbound queue. The error text is:

"Error in Mapping (Details: Transaction SMW01)". When I go to the transaction SMW01, I found into the last Bdoc error segment the following message: "EAN 2348789098765432 does not correspond to the GTIN format and cannot be transferred" In sap note 429423 is a similar error description, but I am not able to correct the error. Does this happened to somebody else? May you provide me some guidance?

Hi

Try to delete the entry in the EAN/UPC field of Basic Data 1 tab of Material Master in R3...and replicate once again...

Reddy, deleting the wrong entries solved my problem.

Yann, I checked that note, but it applies to SRM_SERVER version 500, and mine is 550 (Why the problem persists in a posterior version? This is a mystery for me).
