RANK Function

Hi Experts

i have created rank function in universe with the formula "RANK() OVER (PARTITION BY (@Select(Product\Product Category)) ORDER BY (@Select(Sales Fact\Amount Sold)))" but while creating the report rank column showing only 1 for every category what is wrong with the function.

Any suggestion on this....

this can happen only when all your categories have the same Amount Sold values

Category Amout Sold Rank

A 10 1

B 10 1

and so on

Thanks for your help but this is not the case as data in amount sold column is showing different values for every product category, data as shown below:-

Prod_Cat Amount_sold Rank

Electronic 14,597 1

Hardware 20,647 1

Photo 31,163 1

Software 17,961 1
