Dear Experts,
I am facing the following scenario.
I raise a reservation through a project referring the Plant and the Project Stock. With Material Availability Check, reservation commit the stock with the said quantity. However when I issue the stock referring the reservation the committed qty remains the same. This results in excess stock commitments.
E.g:
Prior to Issuance - Required Qty - 5, Committed Qty - 5, Issued Qty - 0
After issuance - Required Qty - 5, Committed Qty - 5, Issued Qty - 5
Please let me know your suggestions.
Many Thanks,
Dileepa.
Hi,
The field Committed qty is updated when you run an Av. Check. So after you have posted GI for complete requested qty & run Av. Check system will find no further open qty & hence the committed qty will be set to '0'.
Hope it clarifies.

Vivek

As suggested by vivek from any proejct maintenance transaction go to Edit menu --> availability check ->Material. Let us know after that if you commitnet quantity is not getting redecuded.

Hi Nitin / Vivek,
Thanks for your comments. As per my understanding committed qty should get automatically reduced upon Material Issuance (since it seems more logical). I have tested this scenario and did work properly. But the issue exists for only few reservations and want to rectify the same.
Please guide me on the same.
Thanks,
Dileepa.
