How to implement ESS and Portal

Hi,

I saw steps to implement ESS in wiki.

Now I had a question WHere can I get Enterprise Portal in Market place?

Is it a seperate package ? or is it bundled with Netweaver 7.0?

I have crm 7 on my test Machine .. I wanted to install ESS for Portal .

So whats the best Package to be installed for Portal and then to install ESS.

I dont think the full portal is bundled with CRM 7.0.. IS ECC also required?

I am not able to find the EP package in SWDC....

Hi George,

you have to install the EP Usage Type using the templateinstaller.

Install SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 and during the install you will get a prompt to install "software unit" select EP Core and EP. After the install deploy ESS/MSS package.

cant we install EP alone without the full NW stack ... I am planning to install ECC 6.0 . WHat should i download?

If you are planning to install ECC what you can do is install Java Stack for ECC as well. As part of Java stack install you will be able to install EP as well.

Nw 7.0 and then ecc also?

Just download ECC and then install both ABAP and JAVA for ECC.
