Hi everyone,
I hope I'm posting this thread in the correct category.
We're having difficulties configuring default fonts in the system.
Using SPAD, we've configured the ERP Application Server to be "Front end-ready". The following is our configuration:
Output Device: <GivenName>
Device Type: TWSAPWIN: MS Windows DRIVE via SAPLPD n
Device Class: Standard Printer
Host Spool Access Method: F: Printing on FrontEnd Computer
Our problem is, when we print a certain report on different workstations, it prints the report in different fonts styles (1 computer would print "Times New Roman", another would print "Traditional Chinese" abc font.
All printers are of same make and model (HP LaserJet p2015).
I'm figuring, if its either my SPAD settings -or- workstation settings. I can't seem to find the correct settings.
Help will be very much appreciated. Guaranteed points
Thanks and Regards,
Brian
Hello Brian,
I would have thought this is related to Workstation settings, probably the correct font is missing or incorrectly configured on the workstation.
How are other applications behaving, for example from the machine printing chinese, how are other applications like Microsoft Word behaving?
Another hint could be improperly configured SAPLPD on the workstation printing chinese.
Check the following SAP Notes
SAP Note 13350 - Font control using SAPLPD
SAP Note 95544 - "Font replacement" in SAPlpd and SAPscript print

Hope that helps
