Alert for Error messges only

Hi all,

I have a requirement where in i have to throw an alert only when communication channel fails .and mail to be triggered to the intended recipients .We have done all the required configuration as per the documentation from SDN and help..But the problem is that the alerts are raised for both success messages and error messages .

How can i avoid alert for success messages ? Did i miss any configration step ?

Do help me .
