Problem while inserting Date in MAX DB

Hello all,

I have one problem while inserting Date in MAXDB. I have one table named TMP_EMPLOYEE in MAX DB. And there is a filed named JoinDate of type TIMESTAMP.

The problem is when i want to insert a record into MAX DB through my EJB Program i came to know that the time which was inserting is 5:30 hours less . If the current Time is 11th July 2006 6:30 PM the time inserting in the DataBase is 11th July 2006 13:00.

What is the problem

Ramu,

how do you retrieve the timestamp data? It seems the data is stored in GMT, your time adjusted to the local timezone.

This is the intended behavior, but must be considered while displaying the stored time.
