SLD Configuration Between R3 4.7 X200 and Solution Manager

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I am facing a strange issue while configuring my R3 4.7 system to my centeral SLD located on Solution Manager.

The Issue is:

While running the Tcode SLDCHECK on R3 System its giving my wrong Host name " iwdf9920".

However the sldcheck is successful but the browser window that popup automatic is taking that wrong host name and showing "page not found" as expected.

I have already configured other system to my Central SLD located on Solution Manager system and all are running fine.

Even this R3 System is connected successfuly but the only issue is this host name.

I went through SLDAPICUST, RZ70, Rfc - SAPSLDAPI. The configuration is all right. I check the host name in window host file but that name "iwdf9920" doesnt exist anywhere, even not able to ping from my OS.

Kindly Suggest Is there anything new or Bug in this configuration.

Your Response will be Apreciated.

Regards,

Gagan

Hello colleague,

not sure if you have already solved this issue, but I had the exactly same problem, in the same release.

I had debug sldcheck transaction, and found that this entry was fixed into table lcrt_servaddr.

You can edit the table via se16n and change the hostname there, and it will work.

Best regards,

Pedro.

This Note describes the problem

Link: [Note 624282 - SLD access data from SLDAPICUST has no effect|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1zdiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=624282].

>

Symptom

The System Landscape Directory (SLD) access data in transactions SLDAPICUST and SLDCHECK is different. It is unclear how this discrepancy arises.

Other terms

SAP System Landscape Directory (SLD)

Reason and Prerequisites

This error may occur in SAP Web Application Server 6.20 with Support Package 11 or higher because the table LCRT_SERVADDR was inadvertently delivered with incorrect entries. The system should delete these entries during the installation; however, due to RFC problems, they may remain.

The error may also occur in higher SAP NetWeaver releases (640, 70X, 71X) if you inadvertently make entries in the table LCRT_SERVADDR. Entries in the table LCRT_SERVADDR have a higher priority than the access data that you maintained in transaction SLDAPICUST.

Solution

Delete all of the entries in the table LCRT_SERVADDR. Use transaction LCRSERVADDR to do this.

Hi

Login to R/3 and run the command sldapicust. Delete the entry what u have there Save it.

run the transaction sldapicust again create a new entry

E.g

SAP_CONFIG

Host Name : ur sld server name

Port : port number

username : SLDDSUSER

make sure the Prim option is checked.

Please let me know if it worked or not.

Hi Gagan,

Did you select the check box (Prim.) in SLDAPICUST, next to ALIAS NAME ? If not please check mark the same and save, then try again.

Kiran.

Hi,

My Question is how could i change the Host Name defined in the SLD, and from where the automatic pop up browser window taking the host name as http://iwdf9920:50000/sld instead of http://wsapsolman01:50000/sld.

You can change the SLD name by using the FQDN parameters for your SOLMAN system. Just check if your soman system's host name or maintain the FQDN for the global host parameters in the instance profile.

I think wsapsolman01 is mapped some where to iwdf9920 system.

Also check the technical systems in your sld wheather there is any server registered with the name iwdf9920

Vamshi.

Hi

When u run sldcheck. you will see the SLD Server access Settings. Can you copy and paste what u see there.

Please also check the RFC LCRSAPRFC

also run the sldcheck on Solution Manager and see what its showing.

You should see the same thing in R/3 what u see in Solution Manager.

Hi Kiran,

Thanks for your assistance.

I went through JCO RFC provider, Every thing is pointing to right location.

Rfc connection is working fine. Even in my central sld system is accesible and showing the right data.

However my issue is stuck with host name.

I have just a single clue that my R3 system is nonunicode and Solution manager is unicode. Can it be the reason ??

Hi Gagan,

Can you please check the host name defined in RZ70 and the details in SLDAPICUST and also in RFC (SM59) SAPSLDAPI, which should be pointing to JCO defined on SolMan system and also check the gateway options in the same RFC and test the connection.

Please let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Kiran.

Hi,

I need to configure Early watch alerts of my R3 system (4.7) from Solution Manager (7.0).

The patches and the kernel versions are as below.

Solman system : ST-PI = 2008_1_700; ST-A/PI = 01M_CRM570; Kernel release = 701

ERP system : ST-PI =2008_1_620; ST-A/PI = 01M_R3_470; Kernel release = 640

I searched in market place and found the corresponding ccmsagent files are as below.

for 710 - ccmagent_33-20001020.sar

for 640 - ccmagent_48-20000196.sar

Can anyone pls guide me which agent do i need to download and install in my satellite system.

My doubt is whether do we need to consider the kernel release of Solman system or for the ERP system?

Praveen

dont look any further for "iwdf9920" is a SAP host (thats the naming convention)...

Go through the following doc,

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/78/20244134a56532e10000000a1550b0/content.htm

Hi Juan,

Thanks for you valuable Docs however my issue is still there..

I have check all steps, all are configured well.

I have SAP EHP 1 for SAP Solution Manager 7.0 and R/3 4.7 IDES SR1 in the configuration. During the checks i found Unicode Check Box missing in SM59 and also in JCO Rfc Provider.

I think it is becouse of new versions and configuration find this data at run time.

My Question is how could i change the Host Name defined in the SLD, and from where the automatic pop up browser window taking the host name as http://iwdf9920:50000/sld instead of http://wsapsolman01:50000/sld.

All other configuration is good and even my SLC check is running well,

Answer will be appreciated highly.
