Hi All,

In SRM 7.0 Is MDM necessary to maintain Catalogs. or How we maintain catalogs in SRM7.0

Hi,

User can add items by following ways.

1. Free Text

2. Product Master (Material Master)

3. SRM-MDM Catalog

4. OCI enabled external supplier catalogs

5. Copy from old SC

Hi Rajan,

In SRM 7.0, the standard catalog application is SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0. SRM-MDM Catalogs are far better than CCM 2.0. You can also use CCM 2.0 but it will be on separate server. Also, SAP is going to stop the support of CCM 2.0 after 2013. So its better to implement SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 with SRM 7.0. Check the below notes.

Hi Rajan,

SRM 7.0 officical release is with MDM 3.0 , so for catalogue we have to use MDM. Though not mandatory.
