Network Activity - Timesheet: Work Center in plant does not exists

Hi All,

While doing Timesheet entry against Network and Activity in CAT2 transaction Code, I come across one scenario in which If I use copy function then one error message appears as " Work center XXXXXXX in Plant XXXX does not exists"

But same combination gets worked if I put manually and do not use copy function.

I think system checks copied entry plant with new entry Plant.

Is this system inconsistency ? If so what may be the probable solution ? OSS Note ? Exit ?

Please suggets to rectify this wrong validation message.

Hi Gokul,

Checked your suggested Note number.

I am using Component version: SAP ECC 6.0.

Also I am trying to copy the entry from Worklist area of CAT2 transaction Code.

I am littlebit worried about this note as symptom mentioned are somewhat differemt and also Valid Releases.

Can you please arrange to check and let me know ?

Please share data entry profile's default section setting. And make sure that you are not using any exit which derives plant values accoeding to custom logic.

Thanks for your reply and specific answer.

As requested by you my data enrty profile Default settings are:

Default values:

Controlling Area

Activity Type

Cost Center

These above mnetioned values are Ticked ON.

And remaining are NOT Ticked ON.

Also as per my knowledge we are not using any Exit and message Class also Standard one.

system only proposes default values when you create a new account assignment row. If you want default values to be proposed when you change an account assignment row, or if you copy data from the worklist, use the SAP enhancement CATS0002.

As your DE profile is drving data of S.CE and Activity type from 0315 infotype but this only works when you create new raw in data entry profile.

To test is your issue is realted to this or not. Do small test as below.

Create two line item in data entry profile. ( don't sav anything )

1. Post time by entry new raw manully put 6hrs.

2. Copy from work list put 3 hours.

After that click on any of the line and press ( CTRL+F2 ). This will take you to new screen : Time sheet details where you can check all the details like as sender, receiver,logistic, cost accounting scenario.... Compate this details for both item specially logistic details.

I think details will b different. Check and let us know.

I think while work list -copying function run system save some values in I_TAB and check those value with new values in Data entry area. looks like some kind of wrong validation. Can you please suggest?

If you are changing this things than what is use of copying. In that case you should use new raw in data entry profile.

I told you to compare details and share result. Yes there is some validaiton system does whenever you copy worklist, create new line in data entry profile or chagne existing line item But your problem's solution is in comparision of detials whichI told you to do in previous post.

Thanks for your reply.

I have checked and tried to compare the details in Logistic section as mentioned by you.

If I changes the network number and Work center then unable to go insite details, on Enter event itself error is coming.

I think workaroud is we do not have to change the details if copy functionality is used though fields are editable.

If we have to change details manually new entry has to be done in Data entry area.

Please suggest If I am wrong.

Hi Swapnil,

You can check following points once again.

1.Check your Network Actvity details:

Work Center/Plant : 1000/1300

Work 10 (hrs)

Activity Type :11000

DistKeyCapRqlnt:SAP020

Also Status of activity :whether it is in PCNF or CNF.

and in Network Header: check Capacity Requirements.

2.In CR02, check whether the work Center and Plant Combination.

Plant:1300

Work Center:1000

Goto Costing Tab: Note the following:

Cost Center: 4295

Actvity Type Int Proc(Bottom Field):11000

Formulae:SAP008

3.Check in KP26/27, whether Cost center has been

assigned to Activity Type for the period (or else entire Fiscal year).

Version:0

From Period:6

ToPeriod:6

Fiscal Year:2010

Cost Center:4295

Activity Type:11000

with this combination whther rate has defined or not.

Plan Actvity/Fixed Price/Variable Price

4.And also CAC2, don't hide any field in all screen Groups of your data entry profile.

Now Pl. let us know the results.(all values considered here are for your understanding)

1. I have checked Network Activity data its found proper.

2. Work Centwr master data also maintained.

3. Activity rate Price planning also done.

4. In field selection configuration no field is hidden field.

My issue is not related to Process but its related to copy row function available in CAT2 Transaction Code.

Could you please help me in this matter?
