availability check at outbound delivery

Hi experts,

Any chances to make availability check automatically at delivery when changing storage location?

Example:

10K against storage location A001 shows in delivery. However, this delivery requires 20K while storage location B001 has 20K.

Request: When changing to B001 in the delivery, how to make the system automatically capture 20K?

ps: Even availability check activates in delivery, I need to manually enter 20K. Otherwise, the system keeps 10K after changing storage location.

After double check, it seems that it does not work. Picking is NOT applied to the system hereby. For this case, any other solutions? Or, is it the only way to activate picking if making availability check automatically run at delivery?

As mentioned before, do the configuration for picking location determination.

Just came across SAP note 1460710 - Storage Location Search in the Delivery, which looks and indicates a symptom There is no check for material in the picking location search of the delivery.

Below is the detail;

Symptom

• There is no storage location search in the delivery based on stock availability.

• There is no check for stock in the storage location search of the delivery.

• An incorrect storage location is displayed in the delivery.

• There is no picking location search in the delivery based on stock availability.

• There is no storage location search in the delivery based on material availability.

• There is no check for material in the picking location search of the delivery.

Environment

SAP R/3 All Release Levels

Reproducing the Issue

0. Create a delivery with transactions VL01N or VL10*.

0. On the delivery item overview tab an incorrect storage location/picking location is displayed.

0. No stock is contained in this storage location/picking location displayed in the delivery.

0. The expected result is that a storage location/picking location is found that does contain available stock.

Cause

The delivery will not find a storage location/picking location based on stock availability, it is based on customising settings.

Resolution

0. Specify the storage location/picking location based on the criteria of shipping point, plant and storage conditions.

0. Assign the storage location/picking location in the following menu path: SPRO -> Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Picking -> Determine Picking Location -> Assign Picking Locations.

• The rules for defining the storage location/picking location are in the following menu path: SPRO -> Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Picking -> Define Rules for Picking Location.

• The userexit EXIT_SAPLV02V_002 called by the function module SD_STORAGE_LOCATION_DETERMINE is available for specific user requirements with storage location determination.

• Storage location determination in the delivery is only performed if:

- There is no storage location maintained in the sales order.

- The flag is set for the storage location determination in the delivery type customizing.

- The plant is given.

• Documentation can be found at the web site: http://help.sap.com/ menu path: Logistics -> Logistics Execution -> Shipping (LE-SHP) -> Picking -> Picking with Warehouse Management -> Specify Picking Location -> Determining the Picking Location Automatically.

Hi Ram,

Plz correct my understanding if I'm wrong:

The system can automatically capture quantity when changing storage location in delivery. The prerequisite is picking & avalability check is activated. If picking is NOT activated, quantity need to be manually entered to triger availability check in delivery.

Example:

Due to availability check, delivery quantity is automatically changed from 10K to 5K against storage location A. As 20K stock against storage location B is sufficient, storage location in the delivery is manually changed to B.

My request:

1. If picking is NOT activated, how to make delivery show 10K autmatically?

2. When creating delivery, any chances to make delivery show storage location automatically that has sufficient stock?

ps. Automatic batch determination is activated.

Looks like what you need is availability check at Storage location level, I am not sure if it can be done in Standard SAP.

Try having a logic in User exit to perform this check.

Hi,

You can go to LO >shipping>picking> determine picking location > define situation and storage loc determination with situation. you can meet requirement by this way
