Hi Prashanth,
Firstly,
Define Account groups >SPRO>Financial Accounting>Accounts receivables and accounts payable>Customer Accounts>Master records>Preparations for creating customer Master Records>Define Account Groups with Screen Layout(Customers)
Assigning Number ranges for Customer Accounts
SPRO>SPRO>Financial Accounting>Accounts receivables and accounts payable>Customer Accounts>Master records>Preparations for creating customer Master Records>Assign Number Ranges to Customer Account Groups
This is the basic setting required for creating customer master
Now, use t.code XD01>select Account Group>Enter the customer code(if it is to be maintained externally)leave blank if it is to be proposed by the system>enter Company code, Sales organisation>Distribution Channel>Division> press enter> enter the General data, company code data, sales area data and save it.
Defining and assigning of a customer master data is an end user job, for this to happen u need to update the above customisings.
Regards,
US

Hi Prashanta,
Before creating customer under specific sales area you need to confirm if the sales area is setup on your system.
For this you need to Follow below steps in SPRO:
1. Define Sales Organization
2. Define Distribution Channel
3. Define Division
4. Define Account group for customer (Like Sold-to, Ship-to, Pay-to, Bill-to etc)
5. Define Number Range for the Account Group (It can be External or Internal Number Range)
6. You Need to setup Sales Area using above difined Sales Organization, Dist. Channel, Division.
7. After Completing all above steps you can proceed to create Customer Master record using transaction XD01.
Hope this will answer your query.

Hi Prashanth,
Firstly you should go to Enterprise structure >> assignment >> sales and distribution > Assign distribution channel to sales organization,Assign division to sales organization, and Set up sales area in order to set up sales area.
by this way, you can create your customer sales are data from XD01 t-code according to your account group assignment.

Please use t-code XD01.
Enter Account group, Co code & Sales area under which user want to create Customer.
Sales area means combination of sales org + Distribution channel + division

Hi,
I hope, you know how to define the Sales Organisation, Distribution channel & Division.
In assignment, assign the Distribution channel & Division to your Sales organisation.
To create your required Sales Area, go to "Set up Sales Area" and define your Sales area.
Assigning Salesa Area to the Customer means you need to create the Customer (XD01) in that Sales Area.
So, create the Customer in XD01.
Select the appropriate Account Group.
Specify your Company Code.
Specify the Sales Area (to which you want to assign the Customer).

Hi,
Sales area !!!!!!
OVXA - Assign division to sales organization
OVXG - Set up sales area
OVXM - Assign sales office to sales area
e.g Sales Organization -> Distriubtion Channel -> Division
|
-> Sales Office
VOR2 - Define Common Divisions
OVAN - Combine divisions allows you to share sales document type data between different divisions. You define the sales document types in a central division and then use it as a reference division.
For e.g.
Sales Organization Division Reference division
ALL 01 01
ALL 02 01
ALL 03 01
Customer account group
T-code (OBD2)
Path
Financial Accounting
Account Receivables & Payables
Customer Accounts
Master Data
Preparation for creating Customer Master Data
Define Account Groups with Screen Layout (Customers)
In this step, you determine the account groups for customers.
You can also define reference account groups for one-time accounts. You can use these to control the fields of the one-time account screen so that, for example, certain fields are displayed as required fields or are hidden
Select the option New Entries
Account Groups
The account group determines:
u2022 The data that is relevant for the master record
u2022 A number range from which numbers are selected for the master records
An account group must be assigned to each master record
