Hi,

This is standard SAP feature and the budget will definitely be consumed.

Naveen,

Can you elaborate your query, where the budget is reducing?

Project is for construction there are 30 buildings each as a WBSE and there is another WBSE for common procurement

When you procure material against common WBSE and do GRN you will get Actual cost against the common WBSE

here we transfer the material from common WBSE to other WBSE (1 to 30) that time what ever amount(budget) is given under building its getting reduce but as per the business it should not get reduce and shown in available

the other thing is like if the what ever budget is given and used in buildings, that time if you transfer the actual from common WBSE its showing in negative value in buildings

Read SAP Help, search the forum and understand the budgeting functionality in PS.

Hi,

You may use the substitution rule to achieve this. (this Will avoid the Problem that you are facing)

And is very well possible with the Substitution rule though not a standard SAP functionality.

e.g Provide the Tcodes for which this Substitutions should work for you in the prerequisites field.

And in the substitution activate the user exit "U902"

This User Exit can be build with the Std. SAP Program "RGGBS000".

Get the help from ABAP consultant. And Build your own logic for the program e.g which WBS to be credited and which to be credited.

I will give you an example.

e.g WBS element A has received all the cost and now you want to transfer Some of the cost of WBS element of A to B without hitting the budget then:

As a std SAP it will debit the WBS element B and Credit WBS element A (which in turn will make the budget available equivalent to the cost transferred)

Now write a logic which will write another debit entry for WBS Element A equal to an amount of the cost transferred.

Hope it helps.

Thanks!!!

In that case, the reports will show double the cost at project level.

Hi,

All the explanation was with a consideration that the Two different WBS elements in question are from two different Projects(Pardon to not to mention this earlier).

In case both were representing the same project then it would never affect the budget consumption because the total budget and the assigned cost will remain same within the project.

Thanks!!!

Hi Naveen

This is standard feature of SAP.

Budget is reduced by actuals & commitment amount of WBSE, you have transfered actual to WBSE2 so that much budget will be eaten.
