Hi All
We are in the midst of Store replenishment improvement project.
In using WRP1 - store replenishment where we have configured for creating STO s from the WRP1 program run.
The system generates multiple STO numbers for the same store. Could you please explain the critieria for the WRP1 program to create mulitple STO s (more than 40 STO per store)instead of 1 STO per store?
Our org. structure is only 1 Warehouse mulitple stores.
1 STO per store would be convenient for us. However we are not able to figure out why SAP is generating multiple STO s randomly without any logic. Ie. What is the criteria for WRP1 to split the replenishment quanitity into multiple STOs.
The creation of multiple STO is creating problems -
1. Difficult to monitor so many STO s per store.
2. while creating deliveries againt them through transaction VL10 B . It gives a memeory overflow dump. Anyway this could be tackled seperately.
Question: Any idea what is the logic behind creation of multiple STO per store from VL10b. We check various parameters of articles including lead times.

Hi
Do the articles in question have different Purchasing Groups? This may be a reason as to why there are multilple STO's per Store. The Purchasing Group is at header level in the STO so therefore one STO per Pur Group is created.

Thanks for your reply Lisa,
Yes, There are 17 purchase groups.
So ideally 1 per purchase group would have been manageable. THere are multiple STOs created for the same Purchase group.
While creating the STOs it is not clubbing them and creatign 17 STOs.

Hi
Another question. Do they have different delivery dates? If the delivery time from DC to Store is different it might be creating an order per delivery date. The only other issue I could think of is Vendor Sub Ranges, WRP1 splits POs by these but I don't think it would affect STO's.

Hi Lisa
They dint have different delivery dates.
But what SAP recommended was to increase the packet size in background processing.

hi all,
what did you all do for the same. Even we are facing the same issue?
SAP has suggested to launch parallel WRP1 for different stores.
Can you please explain in detail what is Packet size in Background processing and how can i launch parallel WRP1 for different stores?

Hi,
The system will split the purchase orders per Purchasing Group since the Purchasing Group field is on the header.
You need to implement the exit - EXIT_SAPLWVFB_002 to ensure that the purchasing group is same for all the items.
Refer Note 418700 for more information on this.
