MDM SRM Catalog : Unarchive repository

Former Member

Hello gurus!!!!

We have installed SR1 (Abap SRM) + SJ1 (Java SRM) + MD1 (MDM) in the same host.

In MDM Console software, when we try unarchiving MDM repository "SRMMDMCAT30_SP00_0.a2a" appears a error "The MDM Repository is in read-only mode".

The DBMS user, has administraotr privileges....

How can I solve this problem?? Any idea??

Thank you very much in advance,

Best regards,

María.

Hi Maria.

Hope you are using MDM7.1.

Right Click the repository -> Click Check/Verify.

Let see how it goes.

Thank you so much!

In Console Manager, I don't find the option Check/Verify the repository.

My console manager, has any repository load, it's empty.

In the hierarchy tree, I only can see the MDM server running, and under "Logs" and "Activities".

When I try to unarchive the .a2a, I get the error.

Best regards!!!!

María.

Chander,

We get Check/Verify Option only after repository is unarchived/created. So, this can not be applied in Maria's case....

Maria,

Please let us know what version of MDM you are using.. Are you sharing database for MDM with other systems too??

Also, can you check MDM logs and provide detailed error message from logs...You can check MDM server logs either from Console or On MDM server log directory...

This information will help..

Please also try this after setting following entry in MDS.INI file:

Unarchive Ignore Language Count=True

Hi Maria

Try unmounting the repository and then mount it again.

You should be able to see the repositories in the console hierarchy pane. Before archiving use Verify/check option.

This should help-Ravi

Thank you so much! Problem solved!

We created an empty repository ad then unarchive a2a file. The user to connect was master.
