SXMSPVERS table empty in PIQ

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I developed a z program in XI development box to search values based on Xpath. The program uses SXMSPVERS table , to seach for Messege Ids. This program works OK in development box. But it fails in Quality box. This table is absolutely empty there.

Why is it so ? Does it need any basis settings . I can see messeges in sxmb_moni in quality box, then why is this table empty.

Please suggest.

Regards,

Arnab.

Please check if you are using [Switch Procedure|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/0e/80553b4d53273de10000000a114084/frameset.htm] for XI message deletion in QA.

Hi Arnab,

This issue might occur due to any switch proceedure is implemented in QA system(deletion of the tables entries).

Refer the below link:

Hi Experts ,

I have gone through the link, but couldnt mae out much from the link. Actually I have to give an explanation , on the possible probable reasons why this standard table was initially absolutely empty an then was filled wth 8000 + data in an interval of 4 hours.

I just wish to know , can this table be having zero entries initially , and then in an interval of 4 hours approx,, it gets filled up with data. Is there any basis settings which was acticated/ decativated that resulted to nthis. Showld i post this query in some other forum ??

Please suggest.

Arnab.

Dear Arnab,

Roshni and Hareenkumar are perfectly correct. In PIQ the switch procedure is turned on such that the data is temporarily residing in in the original data container and at some other point in time it's located in the shadow container.

Run report RSXMB_CUSTOMIZE_SWITCH to verify that switch procedure is turned on. You might also want to check report RSXMB_ANALYZE_DB to retrieve more detailed information on the current status of the switch.

For detailed information on the swich procedure you might want to have a look into the built-in documentation that is available in report RSXMB_CUSTOMIZE_SWITCH by pressing the Info button (Ctrl+F1).
