We are planning to implement kernel update and SPs to the BW system..

current patch:

Kernel patch - 7.00, patch 159

Basis - 7.00 patch 14

ABA - 7.00 patch 14

OS - HP UX

64 bit, unicode.

Yes, system is quite behind with the kernel and supports packs. Suggestions in the implementation?

If someone can provide the link to the latest kernel patch.. thanks!

Hi Kathleen,

It is better to use the Maintenance Optimiser iin the Solution manager. This will check the Package level in your system and compare the package level in SAP SMP and lists down the patches to be appliedd in ur system. You can download those patches alone from the SAP SMP using the Download Manager. By this way u can avoid downloading the patches which ur system don't really need.

The following [Link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm70ehp1_sp23/helpdata/en/46/418970cdb45fabe10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm] may help you.

If you want to upgrade to latest and greatest there is Enhancement Pack1 SPS 7 for Netweaver systems. In order to apply this you need to use Solution Manager's Maintenance Optimizer to download patches.

You can find all the information related to NW EhP1 on the following links:
