SAP TAO 2.0 installation

Hi all,

I tried to install SAP TAO 2.0. I do have QC 10 with BPT, QTP 10. After installation when i try to open or launch SAP TAO by clicking the icon which is displayed in the desktop i get following errer.

" QC has to be installed before working with SAP TAO". But i have my QC installed in the same server.

Can you please help me why this error occurs.

Am i missing somthing else.

Also, HP QC doesn't support x64 Windows. HP should be fixing this shortly but TAO won't work on a x64 box because of this.

Please check SAP Note: 1404715, SAP TAO 2 Installation Information

Step 4: SAP Quality Center by HP

4.1.Installation hints for Quality Center

4.1.1.On each and every PC running SAP TAO front end, the Quality Center

Client is mandatory. Therefore install the Quality Center Client on each

system where you intend to install SAP TAO. Please note that the SAP TAO

installer verifies the existence of the Quality Center installation.

Concerning installation requirements please refer to the information

provided by HP:

4.1.2.After successful installation of the SAP Quality Center Client you

need to install the following Add-Ins:

a) HP Quality Center Connectivity add-in

page at http://updates.merc-int.com/qualitycenter/qc90/index.html.

Hi all,

Thanks for your response.SP03 is the latest installation file which support QC 10.0 and QTP 10.0 and i installed it and now everything is working fine.

I got the same error message and installed what you did and everything looks good.

I recorded a transaction and trying to run the SAP logon pad is not at all launching and its failing.

And also when I go to "Consolidation" and trying to open the Component and getting the error message.

Please advice.

Hi,

Try to launch the QC (http://<qchost>:8080/qcbin) atleast once from the machine from where u r trying to open the TAO client (even if u have both in the same machine). This should solve your issue.
