External WAR into NWDS/NWDI

Hello Experts,

I am trying to get an external WAR file (third party) into Netweaver AS. I know it is possible to directly deploy the WAR onto the server. But is there a possibility that i can wrap it with a DC and get it into NWDI?

I am using Netweaver CE 72.

Hi Vivek,

Go to File->Import->Web->WAR file

Import your WAR file and package it in an EAR which in turn can be deployed on Netweaver AS.

Hi Vivek,

did you search for "war" in nwds online help?

afaik You can only deploy wars packaged into ears (I remember I read deployment of wars will be added in 7.30, but am not sure).

Maybe you can put your war into an external library DC and reference a public part of this DC in an EAR-DC.
