Material master sales view

Hi

I have the following scenario

I have a sales org - R000 that is assigned to CoCode R000

I have a distribution channal - S6

The above 2 are linked to plant OFA0

However Plant OFA0 is assigned to CoCode R332

when I try and create a material (Sales View) for Plant OFA0, Sales Org R000, and Distr. Ch. S6

it gives me the error "Sales org. R000, distr. channel S6 invalid sales area"

In the sales area config, there is a line for

Sales Org - R000, Distr. Ch - S6, and division - 02

What am i missing or am I doing somehing incorrectly.

Hi,

If you want to create a material sales view as for Plant OFA0, Sales Org R000, and Distr. Ch. S6,

R000-S6-sales area should be linked to R332 company code. but because of that you maintain it to R000 company code, it is not possible that view in material master.

you can create it If you assign R000-S6-sales area to R332.

I think this will solve your problem.

One Sales Organisation can only be assigned to only one Company code.

In your case, Sales Organisation R000 has been assigned to Company Code R000.

The same Sales Organisation can not be assigned any more Company code.

Similarly, one Plant can only be assigned to only one Company Code.

Your statement as below is confusing.

The above 2 are linked to plant OFA0

However Plant OFA0 is assigned to CoCode R332

What do you mean by above 2?

I hope, you are talking of assignment pf Plant OFA0 assignment to the distribution chain (Sales org + Distibution channel) "R000 + S6", where as Plant OFA0 is assigned to Company Code R332.

If Plant OFA0 has been assigned to Company Code R332, then the same Plant can not be assigned to any other Company code in any business scenario.

Only in Intercompany sales, a Sales organisation can sales the goods from a Plant which belongs to a different Company Code under the Client.

In the above case, to facilitate the Intercompany Sales, we need to assign the Plant (from where you need to deliver), to the "Sales org + Distribution channel"(Saleing sales org), even though the Plant has been assigned to other Company Code under the same Client.

But, Plant can not be assigned to one more Company code. It is just assigned to the "Sales org + Dist channel (Distribution chain)" of other Company Code to facilitate the Intercompany Sales.

Hi,

It looks you are trying to config inter company sales

If you maintaining plant data with plant OFAO and sales views- with R000/S6- you need to maintain delivery plant belongs to company code R000.

Ensure that

1) the Division 02 is assigned to Cross Division 00 in VOR2

2) the sales area is assigned plant in OVX6
