DDIC_ACTIVATION error while upgrading to EHP3

Hi,

We are trying to install EHP3 through T Code "SAINT" on our ECC6.0

system.

In DDIC_ACTIVATION Phase it is terminated

Error in phase: DDIC_ACTIVATION

Reason for error: TP_STEP_FAILURE

Return code: 0008

As per the log

"Field EMMA_BPC-CLASSJOB does not exist"

"View V_EMMA_BPC could not be activated"

Just in case you didn't already do it. Try to restart the import in SAINT. It is possible that the activation works on the 2nd try (maybe not with the error you have here, but it is always worth a try).

If you have a experienced developer around, then he might be able to help you as well.

The area seems to be part of the industry solution "Utilities", there are quite a few notes about job processing with big corrections.

I'd open an OSS call (BC-UPG) and let the support check that activation error. You may have run into a dependency problem between support packages of SAP_ABA and IS-U.
