Correct notation for pattern in a Data Type?

Hi,

I'm working in PI 7.1. I want to develop a scenario that will work with webwervices.

In my Data Type i have one element that i want to get only two values, NG or NE, from the webservice.

I'm looking at the 'pattern' in the details column. Is this the correct place for such a value range?

What is the correct notation for this?

Why not using the enumeration constraint for this data type ? Otherwise, try a pattern like "NG|NE" ...
